With a degree in photography from Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design in Denver, Matthew Conner is bringing his passion for photography to the world of commercial portraiture.

After a career in the field of social work and seven years as a high school teacher, I decided to make a living doing what I love, photography. Originally a native of New Mexico and a 2004 graduate of Texas Tech University, I fell in love with Colorado, and my wife and I made it our home in 2011. Since then, I have pursued my enthusiasm for landscape photography, which is what got me interested in photography, to begin with.

However, rocks, trees, and mountains don’t pay very much to have their photos taken and I realized that I would need to expand my pursuits in photography in order to make my passion turn into my living. Therefore, I enrolled at RMCAD in 2021 and through my studies and practice I discovered a new passion, capturing portraits for commercial purposes.

Though landscapes will always be my first love, I have found that people are the most interesting and important subjects that a photographer can explore. What’s more, I have the desire to help businesses succeed by providing them with the images they need to showcase their vision. Now, I can’t wait to meet new people and form lasting relationships with those who want to collaborate in order to tell visual stories and expand their own passions. It’s an exciting time to be a photographer and I can’t wait to help you make your business a success!

In addition to commercial work, Matthew Conner also provides videography and video editing services.
